About the meetup

The Techalicious meetup is a monthly Toronto gathering of builders, sysadmins, makers, and other curious humans. We pick a topic, we get hands-on with it, and we leave with working knowledge.

No pitch decks. No vendor demos. Just real laptops, real terminals, and real working code. Bring your machine if you want to follow along, or just show up and watch.

What we cover

Whatever's interesting right now. Recent threads include local LLMs (Ollama, Open WebUI, llama.cpp), Claude Code, Stable Diffusion, regex done right, Linux server hardening, and small-shop AI infrastructure.

Who shows up

Junior devs picking up new skills. Senior engineers brushing up on something outside their day job. Sysadmins who want to know what all this AI noise actually means. Students. Career-switchers. Welcoming and unpretentious by design.
